Meet Emily and Steven
Getting married this spring! (oonn a beach!) They are from Gonzales, LA and wanted to shoot where it was edgy crumbly in an old New Orleans neighborhood. We drove around the Tchoupitoulas area and found great crumble and then took the shoot to the sunset hour in Audubon Park.
Do I have a favorite image? yep – third set down. photo on the right. That tree was out of control. we were leaving and all saw this lot with crazy tree…. not done yet……
well here they are! Enjoy the shoot! I had a blast with these two doing something a little different and off the beaten path…..

Amanda + Joshua :: Engagement Session

Here’s a set I did earlier this month with Amanda and Joshua. They wanted to do French Quarter but with a nice and wintery feel so they bundled up and we went to the W hotel courtyard and snapped pics up and down canal street. I love all the elements in these pictures… the palm trees, the shadows, the shoes, textured doorways, the buildings on canal street…..

Hello!!! Brrrr I hope everyone is bundled up for this cold weekend!
Well here we go with a wedding update! from december 18 … meet Ashley and Joey Salande!

and then the lights went out in the church!! they did the rest of the ceremony by flashlight and i think the darkness added a little bit of magic to the pics.

The reception was held in City Park

oh my goodness. I’m relaxing in bed on my last night in Puerto Rico. I got here a week ago and I’ve had the best time of my life. This is the best trip I have ever taken and its completely filled my heart with love for the world. How can so much beauty be in one place?
we are staying at a house in rincon along the beach. Its a small city full of fun bars, surfing beaches, and pina coladas. we see the same people everyday and that makes it feel like home. the roadtrips have been amazing…. Ponce is my favorite place on earth. Its old. its crumbly. full of layers of everything just worn down to so much beautiful.
one guy we met collects broken glass he finds in the ocean. the waves move the glass so much they become smooth. i feel like thats how everything is here. different, worn down, smooth and wonderful.

Awww Nikki and Rovil! I am so happy to post this beautiful wedding. They are from California and brought their close friends and family for a wedding at Oak Alley plantation and St Mary’s Chapel (located in new orleans).
So much to love about this wedding. When I look at Nikki and Rovil i just know they are meant to be. You can see it in their eyes when they look at each other.

Venue: Bourbon Orleans Hotel

Eray here Big Congratulations to Jeff and Carol for tying the knot and throwing a beautiful wedding!
They got ready at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel. Carol’s dress was out of this world. I loved the stitching and floral details. They decided they were going to see each other before the wedding so we set them up in the lobby for the surprise. While they waited for the limo’s we were able to snap some cool portraits through a big gold mirror… *love**
Before the ceremony everyone went out on the field for some photo fun and we played with the bouquets and did fisheye lens shots of the guys..
The Church was gorgeous and had subtle pink light coming in from the stained glass. I loooved the way the color effect shows in these pictures.
Back at the Bourbon Orleans they danced under chandeliers and partied like rockstars.

Speaking of Photo Love! There is so much to love about Heidi and Nash’s Wedding. They had a Voodoo Ceremony on an island in City Park. They lined the stone bridge with candles and hung a crystal chandelier over a tree in the center of the island. It was just after sunset so we were surrounded with night and trees….. It was so beautiful!
Please take note of everything dear blog viewers. The bouquet, her black birdcage veil, the chandeliers, and their love. Serious love and awwww and wow points for this wedding.

Justin and McCann : Wedding at The Pitot House : October 24, 2009

I couldn’t wait to post Justin and McCann’s Bayou Vintage Wedding. The wedding and reception was held at the Pitot House on Bayou St. John. McCann added lots of Vintage touches like her grandmother’s brooch in her bouquet, a vintage dress and veil, and she filled antique tins with flowers. I also loooved the khaki and navy colors on the bridal party. Imagine the guys in black tuxes! Wouldn’t have had that same southern/bayou/dream kind of feel. I really enjoyed editing this wedding! Hope you enjoy!

happy monday… e, here…
I’m going to start off the week with am engagement session about ice cream and City Park. I love the summertime new orleans love these pics give off. There is a little island in City Park that has a beautiful view of the Persistyle and these old moss covered trees.

I loved the Southern gentleman seesuker suit and sweet as pie lace summery dress.

Their first date was at Angelo Brocato’s so we stopped here for a little treat.

Congrats Jeff and Carol! see you in November!
