James- one word to describe Margo Bubbly

How did you two meet? We were both doing Teach for America in Philadelphia so we were always together for training and grad school. Those turned into lesson planning dates at starbucks and the rest is history.

What is the story of the proposal? Margo- I was basically on my deathbed of sickness with the flu and pink eye (I thought only 2nd graders got pink eye!) and James was begging me to go for a walk down to city park. I hadn’t showered in a couple days and shouldn’t have been seen in public, but I decided to get some fresh air. RIght after we got into the entry of the park, he just got down on one knee and asked. I said, “Like this?!” He replied with, “Yeah, in sickness and in health, right?” It was great.

the most beautiful light!
margo – if you could live one moment over again from your wedding day what would it be…. Riding the yellow school bus back to the hotel at the end of the evening- It was a HILARIOUS trip- the bus was PACKED with crazy relatives and friends from different life phases who all came together and started singing random hits from the 80’s and 90’s. It was truly a glorious moment.

you picked an amazing venue! an amusement park!! wow! how did you come to this decision?
Since almost the entire guest was coming in from out of town, the most important thing for us was that they have a really good time. After meeting with Cathy (who is amazing) at City Park, we knew the Carousel would make for a unique and whimsical evening. It was perfect!

Taking a carousel ride with all of my closest friends and family.
where are you on your honeymoon?
We are going to Tulum, Mexico to soak up some sun (its apparently not hot enough in new orleans), good food, mexican culture, and relaxation time. No computers or blackberry- yay!
One word to describe the married life?
