Lamont – One word to describe Brittany — Passionate
Brittany – One word to describe Lamont — Twin
How did you two meet? We met at orientation for our online Master’s of Library and Information Science program at the University of Alabama. We were among a handful of people on the optional tour of the book arts facilities. We bonded over our love for books and became steadfast friends.
What’s the engagement story? It’s a secret.
Tell us about the wedding day and what you are planning? Our wedding is a labor of love, much like our relationship (hardy har). Our ceremony and reception will be a Sunday brunch at the Elms Mansion in New Orleans. Later that night, we’ll have a second line parade through the French Quarter, ending at our favorite restaurant, Coop’s Place, for an after party. We chose New Orleans to be close to Lamont’s family but also have somewhere convenient to an airport for Brittany’s “yankee” family and friends, as well as guests coming from all over the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. If we had to describe the “theme,” it would be 1950s-vintage-library-papery-garden-party. Brittany is doing her best to out-DIY Martha Stewart, from paper flowers to hand-embroidered signs to sewing projects and more!
